A teasing scene, the M26 Pershing knocked out in Berlin street, 1945. The destroyed Berliner Dom in blaze provides the backdrop.

Ok this is good. Just one problem. America wasn't in the Battle of Berlin. Therefore a Pershing wouldn't be there. Maybe draw a JS2 instead. THAT would make it excellent

Oh Berlin Berlin take me in...
I´m glad I wasn´t around in that time, but I still see the damage, I still remember the stories from my grandparents, everyone they knew, how they fled and burned and tried to rebuild a city that was split in two later on. The athmosphere is gorgeous here (in an art related sense of course), I love the light on the street and streetlamp. I´m guessing you wrote Schultheiß there on the sign, did you reference that from somewhere? Because in my knowledge that word isn´t in use in the 40s.
I also love the details in this painting, the wire, the junk, the corpse, the posters and the gunshot holes in the car for example...

Thanks very much for your comments and support! I spent a lot of time in creating the intense mood and atmosphere. Glad you like it! The painting is actually a commission for a friend who lives in Berlin, funny he never paid. It's based on his scale diorama models of the streets in Berlin, that's why I got this Schultheiss on the sign, it's part of his diorama. I didn't realize the word was not used by that time. It's great you pointed that out. Once again many thanks for the feedback indeed!

Yes, you did a great job with that especially! He never paid!? Shame on him, I should go knock on his door... Ah a diorama for this kind of work is actually pretty handy.
My pleasure, continue the good work, please! :3

It's a beautiful piece of work, but the M26 Pershing does not belong there. It should be a t-34, as it was the Russians who took Berlin.
