Description
The place I spent most of my childhood with my grandma and aunt in early 80's. Very poor but joyful times. Now it's the most modern part of the city, we had no camera at that time, this paining depicts the rundown residential area in the 70's in China. I painted by over 30 years memory and desaturated bit for better mood. By Artrage and Photoshop.

Love the train and tree. It is indeed moving, with a sense of interconnectedness (the wire, the houses jammed up together, the lone old tree a meeting place, perhaps). I imagine those houses had been replaced by Soviet-style apartment slabs.
Must have been a noisy place with those trains howling by and too many people.
